Looks good guys.

However to me it looked very much something you would use with photos & not video.
Reveal seems to be much more focused on photos & lacks styles that work great with video (in my opinion anyway)..
I would love to see new styles for video footage.

Cheers guys, keep up the good work ;)

Thanks Lukos! Actually that's not really our intention: the goal for most of our styles is that they should work equally well with photos and video. But your viewpoint is very interesting. If you think they're working better for photos, what would you like to see us do that would be better suited to video? Your feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I just checked your trial version product, and i can tell that this is one of my favorite tools of this kind so far... but... as you can see lots of ppl "complaining" and asking about more styles, and stuff...

if you're guys busy doing other stuff, you should make little software that supports this program so users can make some more custom styles themselves.
MAKE MOREEEE STYLES  ...

Software is great i'm saying it again, but with lack of styles it might get wasted... I'm sure you have different purposes with this software, and you all are professionals and doing your job great...

I hope you will work on more styles and stuff for this software so i can buy full version and affiliate it... Price for styles wont be problem for nobody as far as they good... Please fill this awesome program with loads of styles, and make it as much customizable as you can...
This SOFTWARE is close to become best of the all time.... I am cheering for it...

All Best...

Hello Kvartfella,

Thank you for your post on muveeManiacs! I hope that you will find this forum useful as it grows. :)

Since you are brand new to muvee Reveal, I would like to take this chance to introduce you to our latest stylePack Adrenaline Rush available at our online store. While you're there, feel free to look at our other stylePacks such as photoGenie, Mix It Up, photoFocus etc... Here's my firepoi muvee that I created with Adrenaline Rush stylePack:

Additionally, if you are interested in making more custom styles, you'll be pleased to know that we've opened up our code base to allow users like yourself to make their own styles. Check out muvee-style-authoring here. However, you can also get a lot more out of our current set of styles by clicking on Style Settings button available with each style. Here is a quick video tutorial on how Style Settings works:

I hope that I have helped you get started on your muvee-making adventure! Please feel free to post if you have more questions, comments and feedback. :)

I guess the bigger question here is since I've heard that Reveal replaced autoProducer... why wasn't Reveal made in such a way that the style packs were compatible? If I had invested money in aP style packs I'd be pretty upset I wanted to update only to find my investment was instantly made obsolete.

Hi Zom,

Thank you for your post. I would like to take the chance to highlight that muvee Reveal is not meant to replace autoProducer 6. They are two different product lines, each with their own library of stylePacks. Please be aware that all aP stylePacks do not go obsolete when you install muvee Reveal because we have made sure that both muvee Reveal and autoProducer will run concurrently if they were installed on the same machine. All styles that work on ap6 will continue to work on aP6. And all reveal styles will work on muvee Reveal. Users are free to switch between both programs at any given time.

I agree that muvee should port the style packs from auto producer to reveal. Muvee Reveal is a much improved version. I would like to see this happen, even if I had to pay an additional fee for the prior style pack, it would be worth it to have one version of muvee.

@jvaccaro and many others before you who are clamouring for more styles, and for autoProducer6 styles to be ported across to the muvee Reveal product line.

Heres the ugly details:

muvee autoProducer6's core Rendering engine (the part that "flattens" the videos and photos and any effects or transitions applied to them) is based on Microsoft's Directshow Editing Services (DES). Due to autoProducer's longer time in the market, it has benefitted from over 5 years of style creation enterprise, accumulating over 100 styles in the after-market.

When we built muvee Reveal, we built it on top of a new rendering engine which we named simply, muvee Editing Services (mES). This renderer is a culmination of over 2 years of research and development and gives us the platform to enable a host of fancy new features, and 3D effects and styles. It does this efficiently through the use of the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) in your computer for complex 3D and video computation. A direct effect of which is the ability to watch a preview of the muvee, with all the complicated effects, transitions applied to your videos and photos in FULL screen at DVD quality.

It was a tough decision to make: provide backward compatibility, or jump onto an entirely new system to provide the bedrock which will make possible all the exciting new features that our users have been asking for. We chose the latter.

muvee Producer has many things going for it; for one, it requires a less powerful computer to run and its priced more affordably. It is by no means directly replaced by muvee Reveal, though we expect that users familiar with the autoProducer range will be wowed by muvee Reveal, hence we are giving discountsto upgraders.

Think of it like you are upgrading from a Toyota to a Lexus: you cannot expect any mods and accessories you bought for your Toyota to be compatible with the Lexus, though they are essentially from the same company and factory line.

As for more styles: with mES, we are also able to give more control to users over how their styles will behave, hence each style is really able to produce sometimes very different edits that in the old system, may require a different style to be used.

Also with mES, we were able to abstract the authoring of these styles and make the code available to developers. Look out soon for a plethora of styles created by a community of third party developers that we will make available on muvee's styleLabs, so check back often! For simple changes to our existing styles, one of our employees have posted a hack here. If you are geek enough, you can certainly make your own styles here.

Thank you all again for your generous feedback and your support. muvee is a small company staffed by employees who are passionate about making great products which helps you relive those special moments and memories. Afterall, as we keep capturing more memories, we usually do not have enough time to relive them.

Keep telling us how we are faring, and what else you want to see. It means alot to us.

I wish I could create styles. I would like to see more holiday styles. I think what would be neat, would be some retro looking snow flakes, blowing in the wind. Then as they progress to the front of the screen, they would have a picture in the center, and then blow away to the next. Also a Christmas tree that would have picture frames hanging on the branches, that you would pan over a lighted tree with some decorations to different frames. Just some things I wish I could do. I'm sure you have plenty of ideas, and I can't wait to see the new styles. I use this program all the time, and I am always checking for new styles.

I agree with the rest of you all. More styles would be awesome. Birthdays, weddings, new years, valentine, anniversary, etc... I'm far from being a techie but I think we all would be interested in some of these. Thanks for letting us share. This program is still far above the rest BECAUSE I'm no techie and I can actually make good movies (muvees!)
