Reveal - Magic Moments - Delete Clips

Postby smck9800 on Sat Aug 29, 2009 3:22 pm

When doing detailed editing using Magic Moments, it would be nice to have a "delete clip" option as well as the "exclude clip".

Why? With many separate clip files, if I exclude the whole clip, I might as well just delete it from the project file, as this will then allow Reveal to CORRECTLY calculate the total minutes of video in the project, as when you just "exclude" it, it still counts in the total minutes. Also, if we can delete it, it keeps our projects more clean and does not need to open up unused clips in projects.

Why add this to Magic Moments as you can delete clips from the main UI? Because in MM I am doing detailed viewing and jumping across multiple clips. To have to exit MM then find the clip I want to delete is difficult as when you jump to new clips in MM you main clip screen does not change.

Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion. It is a very valid point and we will see how to improve the experience in magicMoments. Unfortunately enhancement to this needs to wait for one more cycle as we have already frozen the work items for the upcoming refresh.

Cheers,
Emarson
