Zero Gravity - Personalize Credits

Postby crazyquay on Wed Apr 18, 2012 12:49 am

Hi Francis,

Just tried your Zero Gravity style and the effect is absolutely perfect for this particular slideshow I'm working on -- great work. The one issue I've got is with the Personalize function. Setting up a Title works fine but I can't get any of the functions in the Credits panel to work -- muveeX just freezes up. The only way I can get the Credit function to work is if I change the style. Am I the first to run into this problem?

crazyquay:

I just saw your post and thought I would try to test it.

I can use Zero Gravity and use all Title and Credit features. I hate to ask an insulting question but, you do have the "Include Credits" box checked right? I've missed it before. All features work on my download including animation style, use Font, Use color and use image.

Good luck!

Yes... I've played with all user input components in the Credits panel including the "Include Credits" check box. :) But I may have found something... set the background theme to 'Black' under Style Settings then try the Credits. That seems to be the combination that gives me the problem... the other available background themes let me use the Credit stuff ok.

Steve...... you're not getting off that easy...:)

Change the Style's background theme to black and see whether or not you can still use the Credits functions. Like you the other style variants don't prevent the use of Credits.

You are correct sir! And I admit it, I am wrong. (please don't tell my wife I said that. 39 years and she has never heard it)
There definitely a hang up there somewhere with the black background theme. I experienced lots of odd stuff. Things started running real slow and finally crashed.

Francis, are you out there? Unless I'm mistaken it is early morning in Spain. I'm going to open my style browser and see if I can see anything at all but I'm so new at customization that I doubt I will find it.

More soon.

Sorry for delay and double post... the folks at muvee are holding posts pending a pre-approval process because of a spam issue of some kind (maybe its just a North American thing). In any case, I dug into the code found in 'data.scm' file and fixed the problem:

(credits-section
(if (= THEME 'ThemeNone) <<------------------------------------
(background (color 0 0 0))
(background (video TITLE/CREDITS_VIDEO)))
(text
(align 'center 'center)
(color (Captions.font-color-hex))
(font (Captions.get-font-string))
(hard-shadow dx: 0.2 dy: 0.2 size: 1.2 (Captions.shadow-color-hex))
(fade-in)))

In the original file the THEME is 'None' when it should be 'ThemeNone'. Just make the change as shown above in the 'credits-section' and all is good. :)

Hi crazyquay,

Thanks so much for your interest in my custom Styles. I'm glad that you like and use them on your muvees :D

But I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with Zero Gravity. I understand that your muvee Reveal freezes up with the transition from body to credits, doesn't it?

I've just realised that there was a mistake in the line 474 of current code - thanks to sfisher01 for notifying me this in his post above ;) -, which made credits unavailable only for Black theme, but I've just corrected it. Previously, it shouldn't have caused any problems with the rest of background themes.

Please, download this new 'data.zip' file from the download link below...
http://db.tt/VxtKYlI1
... and unzip it to your desktop. You'll get an updated 'data.scm' file for Zero Gravity Style.

Then, be so kind to go to...
C:\Program Files\Common Files\muvee Technologies\071203\S20000_Weightlessness
(Win32 system)
or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\muvee Technologies\071203\S20000_Weightlessness
(Win64 system)
and replace the 'data.scm' file from this directory with the updated one.

Try it out and let me know if it works for you this time ;)

By the way, for this particular custom Style, you might experience some jerky video playback and/or short temporary freezes during real-time preview, due to the HD nature of the video backgrounds that come with Zero Gravity. But I promise that the rendering process (when you save a muvee) in any of HD output formats available in reveal X is PERFECT :D

Please, look at this HD sample muvee made with Zero Gravity Style:

Best regards from Spain,
Francis

FIELD OF FLOWERS - put a beautiful Spring landscape in your muvees (free custom style for muvee Reveal X)

Hello muvee Maniacs!

I have created the "S20000_FieldOfFlowers" folder for a new custom style named "Field of Flowers" :D

Image

The "Field of Flowers" Style is a totally free self-made style which will only work properly in your muvee Reveal X (not recommended for any other use!!).

You will be able to change the wind direction (forward / reverse), the pace (slow / fast), the motion (simple / spin) and the color saturation (monochrome / saturated). Optionally, you will be able to apply some nice color effect and change its strength to your photos and videos.

Please, get the S20000_FieldOfFlowers.zip file by clicking on below button icon:

Restart/Run your muvee Reveal X to use it and enjoy so much ;-)

Best regards,
Francis Buiza
