New Build 2056 of Reveal

Postby Centauri27 on Wed Mar 11, 2009 1:00 am

I was waiting for muvee to trumpet their new Build 2056--the first in a couple months--but I don't see any official announcement yet. I downloaded my copy last week and am cautiously optimistic, so I'm urging everyone to upgrade. I'm told this update contains many major bug fixes and it does seem more stable (though still a far cry from the stability of my VideoStudio X2). The program seems to run a bit more quickly and smoothly, and doesn't seem to be on the verge of choking constantly. Crashes still occur, but with less frequency.

Dang! :( I just installed this new build 2056 and proceeded to check it out by building a nice 3 1/2 minute slideshow with 42 photos and music. Besides being a little unstable (I had it lock up several times - kill with Task Manager), it will not fully take my opening title and closing credits. They get in the project, but are ignored in favor of the default when I create the HD output file. By the way - I used the Industrial style.

Bye. :geek:

I received the email announcement, which says I should log-in to Self-Service and to download the updated installer. I logged in, but don't see anything about how to update. It's not listed on my Purchased Products page, nor do I see any sign of it anywhere else (except the Release notes).

I had the same experience, you get an email and then log on and there is no update available although the software keeps reminding you of the available update.

You will have to click on Add Products to add your purchase software to your Self-Serve. Get ready your product key when you do that.

Hi rockyrd, there used to be some bug in the message that says there's no later version available. This has been fixed. The latest build of Reveal is 2056 and dated Mar 09.
