win7 + licensed (not demo) revealX + dolby plugin = 0

Postby zsimre on Sat Nov 30, 2013 9:31 pm

Hi all,

if there is any idea how to force licensed RevealX to download and install dolby digital plugin on windows7 machine please share it. My new licensed muvee RevealX is 0 value for me now, because all of my source files use ac3 sound (thanks Sony !) but the RevealX fails to install the dolby plugin on my new machine (win7). After the download I receive some error message related to installation error - of course I sent a ticket to support, but till now no reaction from official support of muvee (if is there any ?!?!?!)
thanks
Is there any magic step which can solve this problem ?

what I see (with spec tools) is a file download from media.muvee.com, it is ac3hd.cab. The file download is ok, because it is downloadable with simple browser. It seems a simple .cab file, but if I try to install it with the pkgmgr.exe then it says that directory does not exist...so I think the problem is related to my win7 64bit intallation directories, where the default 64 bit "Program Files" folder accepts only 64bit programs - and muvee is not that. Therefore muvee install itself into "Program Files(86)" folder, and styles goes there without problem, but the dolby add-on tries to install into the old named folder ("Program Files") - which causes error.
Any ideas how to continue ??? manual registration of .ax files with regsrv32.exe does not work for me unfortunatelly...

Good news : problem solved.
I think support is working (in the background ;o))), because I restarted the process (downloading&install HD addon with importing an AC3) file) and this time download was more longer, and at 95% win7 asked permission for modifying the system settings, and...what a surprise...addon installed.
No feedback, nor other answer from muvee; but that's enough for me: muvee is working !!!
Thanks guys !
